Daticon EED Names Tom Haug President
KIRKLAND, Wash. — April 10, 2009 — Daticon Electronic Evidence Discovery Inc. (www.daticon-eed.com), a leading international provider of eDiscovery services, has named Tom Haug as President. Haug has been at Daticon EED since 2006, serving as Vice President of Software Engineering.
Haug brings more than 25 years of management, engineering and product development experience in technology fields ranging from enterprise software to information retrieval to data communications. Prior to joining Daticon EED, he held senior management positions with several growth-oriented businesses with offerings including enterprise email appliances, IT governance and IT project portfolio solutions, Internet infrastructure and broadband satellite telecommunications services.
According to company founder and chairman of the board John Jessen, "Tom Haug has a passion for building strong teams that work together to achieve a common vision. Tom will help us emphasize our core eDiscovery strengths, including process design consulting, collection, processing, hosted review and production using our integrated platform and court-tested review methodology."
Over the past year, Daticon EED has invested in improvements to its architecture, software, hardware and processes that enable the company to deliver a full range of eDiscovery services more cost effectively and with less labor. In response to a global economic climate which has negatively affected company revenues, Daticon EED has reduced the size of its staff. The previously implemented efficiency improvements ensure that the company will continue to deliver an excellent level of client service.
Daticon EED is fortunate to be in a solid financial position, with significant cash on hand. The company is backed by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, one of the largest and most successful private equity firm focused on its two industry sectors: information/business services and healthcare. Established in 1979, WCAS manages total capital of $20 billion.
The recent cost reductions, efficiency improvements and solid financial position ensure that Daticon EED will continue to be able to help clients reduce the cost and risk of eDiscovery for the long run.
