Daticon EED Revolutionizes Evidence Production Workflow
Intelligent, high-performance design provides the most efficient production workflow available, enabling clients to better meet court deadlines.
KIRKLAND, Wash. — January 27, 2009 — Daticon EED (www.daticon-eed.com), a global, full service provider of integrated eDiscovery services and technology, today announced the addition of the Discovery Partner Image Conversion Server, a high-performance infrastructure component of the Discovery Partner® integrated processing, analytics, review and production platform (PARP). Many eDiscovery solutions are constructed of loosely coupled tools that facilitate the phases of the eDiscovery workflow. The integrated architecture of Daticon EED's Discovery Partner platform provides the unique opportunity to streamline workflow in order to achieve maximum efficiency. The new technology ensures that Daticon EED clients benefit from the company's high-speed native-data processing, analytics and review model while proactively preparing for large volume image productions.
These enhancements to Discovery Partner solidify Daticon EED's position as a world-class provider of a complete range of eDiscovery services. Less integrated eDiscovery service offerings in which data is moved between incompatible applications that are designed by different vendors—or even multiple vendors in physically different locations—at various stages of the process increase cost, time and risk and reduce the overall quality of an eDiscovery project.
The addition of the Discovery Partner Image Conversion Server as part of Daticon EED's integrated processing, analytics, review and production platform marks a departure from traditional approaches to image conversion. With some eDiscovery approaches, images are created during initial file processing (before review starts), potentially delaying the availability of files for review and increasing long-term storage costs for unused images. Other approaches create images at the time of production, creating the risk of missed production deadlines resulting from costly processing delays.
"In high-pressure matters such as merger and acquisition second requests, it's critically important to initiate the review cycle as quickly as possible and take the proper measures to ensure documents are appropriately converted in time to meet critical production deadlines," said Ken Sokol, director of program management, Daticon EED. "Discovery Partner Image Conversion Server is a foundational component of our platform that enables Daticon EED to preserve the speed benefits of our native processing and review capabilities while still ensuring readiness for high volume, short timeline image productions."
The design objective for Discovery Partner Image Conversion Server is to proactively stage production-ready images in anticipation of production without compromising the speed advantages of native document processing and review. With Discovery Partner Image Conversion Server, the conversion process is automatic and transparent to reviewers. The benefit is shorter cycle times for high-volume production with less risk of unforeseen conversion issues.
"This update is the latest workflow-based component of our integrated technology platform focused on enabling our clients to better control the time, cost and risk associated with document processing, analytics, review and production," said Sokol. "In combination with market-leading consulting and project management expertise, our integrated service-enabling platform design assures Daticon EED clients high quality, responsive and repeatable service delivery."
