Daticon EED Enables Corporations and Law Firms to Reduce and Control Costs of eDiscovery with Early Case Assessment
Addition of concept search service to Discovery Partner® platform improves eDiscovery planning and accuracy.
KIRKLAND, Wash. — January 20, 2009 — Daticon EED (http://www.daticon-eed.com), a leading international provider of eDiscovery services, today announced the availability of an enhanced Early Case Assessment (ECA) service that integrates sophisticated concept search technology with its industry-leading Discovery Partner integrated processing, analytics, review and production platform. The new concept search feature will enable Daticon EED’s customers to lower eDiscovery costs during litigation by significantly reducing the size of data sets requiring review.
ECA provides valuable insight into the underlying costs and merits of a case, as well as the structure of the electronic evidence, to better prepare the litigation team for pre-trial meetings with the opposition. Daticon EED’s ECA service also provides guidance on identifying custodians, locating data, determining how much data the case involves and ensuring that all of the data is accessible.
"Given the compressed timelines dictated by the courts, a well-planned approach to eDiscovery is necessary to facilitate an efficient litigation process," said Steve Stein, Vice President, Consulting Services. "Our ECA service, supported by concept search capabilities, effectively streamlines planning and cuts costs for a number of different case types including patent litigation, mergers and acquisitions, product liability disputes and investigations. In fact, according to a recent industry survey, 76 percent of cases that incorporated ECA resulted in favorable outcomes."
